The Old Cleopatras 2022.

I was influenced by the Victorian art collection as one of my jobs is working in Sunderland’s art gallery …daily I’d view Victorian painters like Ernest Normand & loved all the detail & style of these classics, I’ve always loved Pre-Raphaelite art more but daily study of the Victorians impressed me up close.

I do work with canvas & paint from time to time but these 4 works are my digital artworks using brushes that can do oil paint, charcoal & basically any known texture brush in Photoshop & Procreate. I just enjoy challenging myself to create something new from old, loose abstract style from quick sketch work studying in the gallery.
